Candlelight Vigil In Congress Park Honoring Those Lost To Addiction

In observance of International Overdose Awareness Day, the RAIS (Recovery Advocacy in Saratoga) and Prevention Council are hosting a candlelight vigil in Congress Park, Saratoga Springs on Monday, August 31st at 7pm at the Spirit of Life statue.
The vigil was inspired by the words and work of the Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education (NOPE) taskforce. “The memory of our children, our relatives and our friends, who have passed, will live on in our hearts, forever honored and memorialized. May the dreams they had and the lives they lived be remembered always, and may each heart and soul they have touched, though forever changed, be healed”
Come join us in remembering the many members of our community whose lives have been lost to addiction. “To all our fallen comrades, friends and family; with this important day of acknowledgement, we can only hope, we will find the solace we seek and deserve.” States RAIS member Jacob Weakland.
