We Help Saratoga County’s Youth Navigate Life’s Challenges!
The Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention Council of Saratoga County, Inc, is a nonprofit, community-based organization working to prevent alcohol, drug and other substance abuse throughout Saratoga County. In 2017 we expanded our focus to provide addiction recovery services and opened our Healing Springs Recovery Community Center. Our administrative office and recovery center are both located at The Mill, 125 High Rock Ave in Saratoga Springs.
The Prevention Council has worked for more than 30 years to give young people the skills to choose healthy behaviors, provide families with the tools to foster positive child development, help communities build family-friendly environments, and help schools build supportive climates for students. Our recovery center offers resources, programs and hope to individuals and families impacted by addiction. We have Certified Recovery Peer Advocates to assist in navigating the challenges of the addiction treatment system of care.
Our mission is to provide education, information and referral services on the subjects of alcohol, tobacco, other drug and violence prevention to individuals and local communities, thereby enhancing the quality of life for all citizens by diminishing the adverse effects of substance abuse and violence.
