Grant awarded to reduce youth substance abuse

Officials warn salons not to serve alcohol without a license

Prevention Council launches new program to raise awareness about the risks of youth gambling.
Saratoga, N.Y.—February 19, 2014: Did you know that Adolescents Gamble than Use Tobacco, Hard Liquor, and Marijuana? Many people don’t, but thanks to a $15,000 grant from the New York Council on Problem Gambling, the Prevention Council will continue its prevention work on and about gambling. The Substance Abuse Education Class (ASAEC) scheduled for tonight 1/26/15 at the Prevention Council has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The 6 week program will begin next Monday (2-2-15) evening.
