The event, titled “Teens and Stress: How parents can help” will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. in the library of Oliver W. Winch Middle School. It will provide parents with practical information about the stressors adolescents face and the important role parent’s play in helping teens navigate them.

The program will be interactive and feature a panel of middle school and high school counselors and faculty, along with Pierre Zimmerman from One Big Roof in Saratoga Springs.

A number of high schools students will attend to share their own experiences with stress. Participants will hear about specific stressors for tweens and teens and learn how the experience of stress differs for teens and adults, along with specific techniques to alleviate stress.

This is part of the latest Parent University program, which is sponsored by the Community Coalition for Family Wellness.
